In our global effort to fight COVID-19 and reduce it’s spread, much of the planet is practicing social distancing and staying home. The results are promising and seem to be working to help “flatten the curve” of the pandemic. The results are also promising as this change in behavior is having a positive affect on climate change.
According to the World Economic Forum, “along with that human impact on the disease, pollution has receded and our impact on nature has markedly diminished as well. In Venice the canals cleared. In New York, carbon monoxide levels shrank to half their usual March levels.”
